For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life...

My Thoughts
Hush Hush is a great book, I must say. From the moment I opened it and entered the life on Nora Grey, to the moment I reached the action packed ending I couldn't stop reading.
Nora Grey is a teennage girl that has her priorities defined: she's a top student, she wants to go to an Ivy League university, she works in the school newspaper and never fell in love, though her best friend Vee incites her to do that.

Nora is a likable character and in away she's somewhat like me (especially because she wants to control various aspects of her life, that are sometimes incontrollable) wich was really good because I love relating to the characters.

The rainy and foggy town where HUSH HUSH is set,it's perfect for this paranormal romance book because it creates an amazing atmosphere where anything can happen.

I love that this book had so many mystery. It gave so much more to the book and let me so interested that I probably wouln't have enjoyed this book as much if the mystery wasn't there.
Of course I loved as well the romance between Patch and Nora; it reminded me of Cathy and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights.

Go and grab the book!

  1. I didn't like Hush Hush. :/ I couldn't relate to the characters at all and I thought Nora and Patch didn't make a good couple.

It's really good to see the perspective of someone who really enjoyed it though! :)

  12. To be honest I didn't like it too much. It was okay, but definitely not great. Had a very slow start and Nora annoyed me with her behavior. Then again, Patch I found very interesting.

  17. I find Nora sometimes a bit lacking in character, but I do like Hush, Hush. Patch is beautifully infuriating and infuriatingly beautiful, which I love. The twists were really good. Can't wait to read Crescendo (and Silence when it comes out).
